CoverGirl Exact Eyelights mascara

~this mascara is a volume mascara whos claim is to intensify eye color.

~i loved the "black sapphire" made to complement blue eyes. The color was a blue grey with sparkles but not too tacky, and barely blue

~as far as complementing eyecolor, i saw NOTHING.

~the wand was great , but at the end of the bristels i saw some mini clumps. it's those that predicted the future.

~over night this fresh, moist AMAZING mascara became a dry clumpy mess.

Wierd huh?

~also the wand is not tight to the tube when taking the wand out of the bottle. making the opening in the tube a mess.

L'oreal Voluminous Original

i've used this product for many years.

~I almost think it depends on the tube with this product. When i re-buy this product once it will be great the next time, a mess.

~The tube i have right now, unfortunately is a mess. the wand has so much mascara liquid on it at one time it clumps fast.

~When it goes on it is SO wet

~it takes FOREVER to dry

~i never buy this product in waterproof but the non-waterproof comes off of you lashes way too easily and flakes. BAD.

the excellence of MASCARA PRIMER

mascara primer! becoming more and more known as the popularity of L'Oreal's double extend and Maybelline's XXL mascaras. I don't often use those because i'd rather have a full tube of primer and a full tube of mascara (and believe me i do!) so i bought clinique lash building primer! WOW.WOW.WOW. it's amazing! (and for a non-drugstore brand CHEAP!) $13! its the softest thing everrrr.

heres what you do:

put the primer on and use it to make you lashes as long as you want them. then use the regular mascara until the white is covered up! and what does that do?? CONSERVE MASCARA!! Primer also makes lashes firmer and less likely to flake.

MAYBELLINE:

i've LOVE maybelline mascaras. i have for a long time and they have great ones!

my favorite: Pulse Perfection vibrating mascara! i really LOVE this mascara besides the vibrate button being in an awkward position. this is excellent it is seriously not clumpy it lengthens and does everything! its sorta expensive so... BUT IT'S WORTH IT!

L'OREL:

a solid brand for drugstore mascaras! my favorite: Double Extend in waterproof! it gives color and volume but sometimes lacks in length. It's also very waterproof! I would enjoy a who tube of just the color part because i already have a clinique primer that i enjoy more. This mascaras primer is clear so you don't know what your working with

REVLON:

honestly? i'm not a big revlon mascara fan. but if i had to choose i'd choose Fabulash. it's great for color and thickening but if you looking for extreme length this is not for you! it's wand in the picture once coated with the mascara fluid looks nothing like that!!

COVERGIRL:

probally my favorite all-around drugstore brand! i've tried almost everything! and loved almost everything! but my favorite? VolumeExact! it's a maroon tube and theres not much fancy about it. it doesn't complement your eye color like exact eyelights and it's kinda easy to miss (much unlike LashBlast) but its amazing! it gives volume (duh) but goes WAY BEYOND. it's everything you would want!!! it's "blackest black" color is also intense! you can put on extra coats for dramatic look or 3 or 4 for a natural look!

ALMAY:

almay! the classic natural look. exactly what this mascara gives: One coat nourishing mascara: lengthening. it gives you the SOFTEST most beautiful natural look with out clumping or making you lashes weigh 10 pounds

mascara tips from a pro!

hey everyone! As a BIG CoverGirl mascara fan i wanted to find tips from

the geniuses behind LashExact and LashBlash:)

i did promise tips on this mascara blog so here they are! These are CoverGirl makeup artist Molly Stern (who appeared in cycle 10 of america's next top model) 's mascara tips!

1. ~Never, ever pump the wand - this adds air to the mascara container, which will only make your mascara dry out faster.
2. ~As a general rule, brown or soft black are best for daytime; black works best for night.
3. ~Use less mascara on lower lashes than on top lashes. Or forego mascara on lower lashes for a more casual look.
4. ~If your mascara smells funny or is more than six months old, chuck it. The eyes are very sensitive to bacteria.
5. ~After you've coated lashes with mascara, add just one more layer to the outer corners. The extra coat will make your lashes look especially long.

whats with Revlon Double Twist???

hey guys! okay,

so i recently joined makeupalley.com an EXCELLENT website for beauty reviews from the shoppers! not experts! i was checking out the revlon double twist mascara because i was concitering buying it. MAN! i'm glad i didn't! on makeup alley you rate the product when you write a shopper review. for most good product there are lots of 5, 4 and those random 1 star ratings (or on makeup alley they use tubes of lipstick) but for the revlon double twist (which has 10 pages of reviews!) i found only SIX reviews of 2 or more tubes of lipstick (stars) !! and not to mention 10 to 15 reviews per PAGE! the rest? all 1 star!! most all reviewers include the words "clumpy" or "mess" in they're reviews

mascara review:

Rimmel London- Sexy Curves

~this mascara has a unique wand with three balls. i purchased this in "blackest black" and i have to admit the black color is awesome.

~to go along with the three ball thing, when reaching down to really get the base of the lashes in 3 places the wand will tough the eyelash base (PAINFUL)

~i thought the packaging was nice. but in one spot it was like insta-clum for my eyelashes.

~this is supposedly a "curling mascara"; i did not see it as that AT ALL.
